Are voyeur websites illegal?
Assuming voyeur sites in which they claim to have taken pictures of unsuspecting people really involve people who did not give consent, are they illegal? I thought that they were, but there doesn't seem to be a movement to shut them down. I know that now things like taking camera phones into change rooms can get you in trouble, but if the perpetrator is not caught is a website free to do what it wishes with the material? If you find a picture of yourself on a voyeur site, is it out of your hands?

A poor girl tonight, clearly with anorexia and a negative relationship with food was force fed 30 sausage rolls whereas the larger of the two had one fruit shortcake biscuit for lunch. I had a horrible feeling that I, like no doubt the rest of the viewing public, was glued to this programme for the wrong reasons. I felt like a voyeur seeing into the naked soul of these people, whose complex relationship with food is to be pitied, not glorified.
Overall, it was like watching the bearded lady at the circus, entertainment for its freak value, which left me feeling ashamed of myself for watching their suffering.

Why don't atheists believe in God?

I am an atheist. I do not believe in Gods or Goddesses. Now I ask myself why. I cannot say what others motivation is but for me it has to do with comfort. I can not feel comfort in relaxing my sense of logic and reason to allow fantasy to become my reality even at the point of not fitting in with the mass of society. Democracy is not much better than a dictatorship when the masses are so easily manipulated and can override the rights of others.

The conflict is when theists push their deity on society to manipulate and control it and to do harm to others who do not believe in their particular God or in none at all. This is when we have to stand up and say STOP!

As an atheist and what I hope to consider an analytical person like to see what facts are available to me and make my decision of what is true and what is not. I cannot dictate what reality is for everyone because the perception of reality is limited to our ability to think. I do not know how the universe was created or what makes it work but I don't need to know such things for my comfort level. What science taught when I was growing up has changed as the universe unfolds for them. Still I don't need to know what does not pertain to my world.

It is a common misconception that as an atheist you don't believe in anything. This misconception could not be further from the truth although I have a lot more of what I don't believe in more than what I do. This leaves room for growth and adventure in areas that I have not yet traveled. The places I have been and do not want to return I know well. I do believe in nature and what it has to teach us. I believe that we are more animal than many would like to admit. I believe in living what you believe so you don't have to be a voyeur and try to live your life with someone or some deity running the show. I do believe in love, trust, honesty, respect, peace from within and without but most of all keep it real. I believe you can read a person's face like you read a book. Some books tell lies and it up to us to filter through those pages and determine what is true and what is a not.

If you were in love with a married man for 8 long years, would you eventually tell him?
He has one of those marriages where they both sleep in separate rooms. She is 63. He is 51. He's hinted at his unhappiness for years, but always follows up with his devotion to the guys/grandguys, none of which are biologically his, but I understand that doesn't really matter. They're still all he has and he greatly enjoys his time with them. However, now, they've all moved away and he only sees them a couple of times a year.

Seems they stay together for all the typical reasons: family, reputation, money, career, habit but, he really rocks my boat. I adore him totally and feel myself to be like a voyeur waiting for him to make a break all these years, feeling he must do so unprompted and uninfluenced in order for it to be 'right.'

But, the last 2 times, I've seen him, he's said his life w/ his wife is all screwed up. I want to jump up and down and yell, great! when he does that, but contain myself, of course.

Should I just out w/ it and tell him how I feel? I have struggled w/ this for so long, feeling horrible about how I feel, but never being able to change it.

You must realize that this man would have left this situation long ago if there was not something strong that is keeping him in this marriage. Sure you say family and habit, but the family is not his . . . so that leaves money, reputation and career. For him to give up his happiness, it sure must be a lot of money (with that comes reputation). He does not want to loose the house, cars, country club memberships and circle of friends that comes with the money he married.

Realize his 'devotion' has been to preserving his comfortable lifestyle and unless YOU can replace it, don't bother speaking up since he won't leave his wife.
